Thomson Pledges No Fuel Supplements on ALL Package Holidays!
Thomson Holidays have announced that they will not charge fuel supplements on any of their package holidays. When some competitors are charging up to £65 per person this is really good news for holiday makers.
According to Thomson, all other travel companies add these fuel supplements to the cost of your holiday. They have pulled together the following examples:
- Thomson Holidays
– Short Haul pp = £0 – Long Haul pp = £0
- Thomas Cook
– Short Haul pp = £30 – Long Haul pp = £65
- MyTravel – Short Haul pp = £30 – Long Haul pp = £65
- First Choice – Short Haul pp = £30 – Long Haul pp = £65
- British Airways
– Short Haul pp = £8 – Long Haul pp = £35
Of course, there is much more to pricing up your holiday than looking at the fuel supplements, so we do recommend checking prices with the other tour operators too. However, it is great news for travellers that Thomson are leading the way to remove some of these annoying supplements that inflate the headline price for package holidays.
