Leaving their careers as musician and writer (Marco just wrote a guide on seven romantic itineraries in Rome) they totally renovated a centuries-old building with the goal of offering comfortable and practical accommodation with many amenities (air conditioning satellite TV mini-bar laundry service motorbike and car rental city tour excursions nearby garage) topped off with an efficient but friendly staff. With its unbeatable central location close to Via Veneto and the Spanish Steps they have all the elements for success. The front desk sitting area and spacious reception hall with comfortable sofas have a clean contemporary look accented with Modigliani prints. A personalized touch has been given to the breakfast room with framed black-and-white photos of the couple's children and friends artwork. Bedrooms on the six upper floors reached by an elevator are decorated along the same clean lines with wood floors and olive-green-striped spreads and drapes. Most desirable are the top-floor rooms with balconies and views over rooftops to St. Peter's cupola while others face the inner courtyard (where breakfast can be enjoyed on warm mornings).
