Question: What riu resorts can you access when staying at one?

I am staying at the RIU Palace Macao which is in Punta Cana and is considered as the 2nd best hotel in the 5 riu resorts lines up. I believe I can access and use the amenities for all of the lower resorts but can I go on the grounds of the RIU punta cana and use their pool and eat lunch there etc. When I stay at the RIU palace macao is there any restrictions at the other resorts? Is there any restrictions to other guests onto our resort? any experiences at this hotel? still debating if i made the right choice with this hotel, i have heard mixed reviews?

When I stayed at the Riu Palace in Playa Del Carmen, I visited the other 3 Riu resorts nearby and was treated just like a regular guest. My understanding is if you are staying in the high end you can go to the lower end resorts. However, if you are paying for the low end Riu then you are not permitted to go to the Palace.

Like " Bandit " already answered you, it is best possible to "downgrade " but not "upgrade " (without paying supplements). This is logic not? So, it is best to pay a bit more by reservation and enjoy fully of everything and this all the time. And don't forget to discover this country!! L'Antipodien
