It's not a matter of which is better, but what type of vacation you like. If you like your hotels a bit more relaxed, quiet, smaller and personal (the bartenders will know your name by the end of your trip if you are social) then Divi it is. The watersports center is between the Divi and the Tamarijn and you can go to the restaurants at the Tam. Rooms are nice, but smaller than the Riu's (which are junior suites) Riu Palace is similar to the larger all-inclusive resorts in Cancun and the DR. Really big buildings, lots of rooms, swim-up pool bar, and specialty restaurants. Your vacation will be less personal, but if you are used to the larger AI's...... Have a great time! -Jacq |
