Hey,I was wondering does anyone know of any insurance companies that will insure someone with a chronic illness for traveling abroad?Health insurance is really important, I plan to be taking a 1 month trip to New Zealand next year which I've already had to postpone because I fell ill with Ulcerative Colitis an incurable autoimmune disease, similar to Crohn's Disease Is It possible to still get travel insurance? because every policy I go for, I read the terms and it says that the policy is void if you have any history of chronic illness or if you've been ill in the last 6 months.Without this insurance, I can't take my trip because if I happened to have a flare up in the month that I'm there, which is very likely, I won't be covered. so if anyone could help me out that would be awesome

Travel insurance (ICICI Lombard), missed connecting flight?
I recently traveled to north India along with my wife, kullu and manali from Bangalore. I had booked tickets via cleartrip, the problem was during return journey, I missed connecting flight from Delhi to Bangalore. the journey was from Kullu to Bangalore. The the start flight from Kullu Air India that was suppose to start at 8 45 AM started at 10 30 and we reached Delhi late 11 30, it was one and hour hour delay. The connecting flight from Delhi to Bangalore Indigo started at 1 00 pm. Although I reached by 12 25, I missed this flight. You might think I had close to 1hr and how did I miss, first it was luggage collection, it took us 15 mins. Then we immediately learnt Inidra Gandhi terminal 1 and 1A is separated by 8Kms. Terminal 1A is supposedly old palemnar airport. All Indigo flights start from 1A Though we took a taxi, and hurried we reached there only by 12 25, where Indigo crew told us we missed the flight.I had to pay and additional 9000 Rs for getting tickets 2 on next flight. I have ICICI Lombard travel insurance, recommended by cleartrip. I am trying to get that travel insurance to some use.I am asked to submit the following The confirmation from the Common Carrier of the delayed flight as to the expectedtime of arrival and the actual time of arrival at the port of delay together with thereasons for delay.Common Carrier ? My start flight was Air India and connecting flight was Indigo.How will I get this confirmation from Air India that the flight was delayed, I have the PNR number, and tickets.Any suggestions so that my claims procedure go smooth ??

Hi there, I'm a foreign national resident in the UK with travel insurance through a major bank. I booked a holiday a few months ago through a budget holiday company so it was booked paid for up front with no refund possible.Yesterday I submitted a " same day" visa application to extend my working visa in the UK and there has been a complication with my application due to my employer. As a result the UK border agency are holding my passport indefinately until the problem is resolved. I spent alot of money with an immigration lawyer and same day application premium so I wouldn't have to lose my passport for a couple of weeks.However now it's looking like I won't have my passport back in time for my holiday.Do travel insurance policies generally cover loss of hotel flight booking costs due to this circumstance?

Travel insurance for Holiday Rental apartment (homeaway.com) including Pre-Existing Medical?
So basically we want to go on holiday renting a apartment in Spain on Holiday rental.co.uk Homeaway,co.uk however the company which provided insurance for holiday apartments like this called Europ Assistance do not cover pre existing medical because of my dad needs this he has pacemaker and angina since 20 years ago. so i was wondering because he is the only one who needs this type of insurance 1 out 5 people can 4 people go on europ assistance and my dad on other insurance? or something like this. Or does anyone know a travel insurance company who does pre existing medical and offers protection from holiday rentals from homeaway.co.ukThanks

HelloJust wondered if anyone can help with any travel insurance advice? I'm due to go to Disneyland Paris next Tuesday but my daughter has got a terrible ear infection. I have travel insurance with my Bank, Yorkshire Bank. Does anyone have any experience as to whether Travel Insurance would pay out for an ear infection. I've read lots of contradicting information on the internet about this and worried. Any advice would really help. The insurance through my bank is with Chartis Thanks x
