Lost wallet-claim on travel insurance?
I lost my wallet somewhere between Heathrow and San Francisco airports, I made a connection in MSP. I last used it in Heathrow and then discovered I lost it the day after I arrived. I phoned emailed the airline, the lost property at all three airports and the 2 shops that I used the wallets in heathrow. I cancelled the cards they were not used by anyone , but there was a significant amount of cash inside as well as photos.Due to various family and personal circumstances it is over 4 months since this has happened, is it too late to claim on my travel insurance? Also I have no proof like a police report that the wallet was stolen, just my emails proving that I reported the lost wallet to the airline, airport etc. Will I still be able to claim or is it pointless to even do so?Thank you There was the equivalent to about 180 in the wallet. The wallet itself wasn't expensive. Would I have to pay the 40 excess when I submit the claim or would it come off the amount I claim for if the claim is sucessful?

Where can I find cheap travel insurance for 70+ year olds?
I'm trying to find my aged parents insrance cover as they are going travelling to India for two and a half months.. My dad is 78 and my mum is 72 No one seems to want to cover them and the ones I've found e.g. Age concern and incredibly expensive.Any suggestions for other companies? I'm in the UK.Thanks

UK: Question about travel insurance/pre-existing medical conditions?
I had what they called a " unexplained sponteneous episode of haemoptysis" last Feb basically my lungs filled up with blood which I coughed up and was hospitalised for two weeks. This was over a year ago and my doctor says it's perfectly safe for me to fly go abroad. However, I was never diagnosed with any illness or condition as they did numerous tests and couldn't find the cause of what happened. My doctor says it was just " one of those things" , that I probably just had a very weak blood vessel that leaked and that my symptoms do not add up to any known condition.I am going on holiday next month to Holland and Germany. Because I have not been offically diagnosed with anything, do I need to get travel insurance for somebody with a pre exisiting medical condition? Each company website has a list of conditions, but obviously I cannot say I have any.If I get " normal" travel insurance, for people without illnesses or conditions, will I be covered should I get any future episodes of haemoptysis whilst I am abroad?I am so confused. Things would be so much easier if I actually had a proper name for what I have... but " haemoptysis" is not a condition. HELP I am flying from England I am English and then will be travelling throughout Holland and Germany for just over a week.Before anybody tells me not to get travel insurance because my E111 card covers anything, that's wrong. That just covers you for basic medical care.

I am 72 years of age and wish to have a holiday in Canada, I have discovered that my 'Travel Insurance' wil be DOUBLE someone of 62 years. I work out at a gym twice a week and jog every day about 4 miles Isn't doubling my insurance because of my age illegal and ageism discrimination?

Travel Insurance with medical condition?
Hi,I'm taking my father on holiday next month and I am looking to buy travel insurance.He had a heart attack about 10 years ago and takes a combination of tablets everyday I looked at the travelex website that people have recommended as it waivers existing conditions, however it states" Purchase plan within 21 days of initial trip deposit" I'm interpreting the initail trip deposit is when I paid the airline? That was months ago and doesn't fall within the 21 day period.Can anyone suggest another company that is competitive as the travelex quote was 30 $50 for 11 days. We only need the medical element as trip cancellations and delays etc.. are not requiredThank youHope you can help
